Welcome to Warrington's Ridge, Mississippi!http://www.warringtonsridge.com/
TO KILL STEAL AND DESTROY
Hope you and yores are enjoyin' this here fine day! I also pray showers of blessings have been falling for you in just the right spots and at the right amount. If not enough, we'll pray for more.
We gettin' ready for another busy weekend in these here parts. We prayin' you and yore's has a most.... safe and blessed weekend.....Even if it aint nuthin' but sittin' back with a cain pole under shade tree on the crick bank.
Speakin' of cain poles and shade trees, I am reminded of a bit ole Hillbilly Sam posted on his facebook wall a while ago: (Study: Jackson One Of The Top Cities For Car Theft: Police Say It's Putting Jackson In Bad Light")This was about a story that WAPT-TV did about car thieves in Jackson, Mississippi....... apparently some study done by the National Insurance Crime Bureau named Jackson as one of the worst cities in the country for car theft. During the story the police spokesman mentioned how the drivers of the cars were partly to blame for leaving their cars unlocked, keys in the car, even leaving their cars running and unattended... (Hillbilly Sam said in response: Cuz it boils down to this: The Police can do all the hard work they want too.... you can take all the precautions you want too, but a thief is gonna be a thief! AND THAT MY FRIEND IS THE BOTTOM LINE!)
The ironic thing about all that, is that very same morning I had posted a verse on Warrington's Ridge.com that reads: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. - John 10:10
Back to the comments made by the police spokesman... drivers are partly responsible.... Perhaps he is right that we need to be more careful....
but what about the good ole days?
I remember growing up out in the country and we used to sleep with only a screen door closed and the windows open. The screen door would be latched mainly to keep it from blowing open and letting the skeeters in. .... also note: there were a whole lot less policemen on the streets back then. But folks felt a lot safer.... This day and age.... we keep hearing, "We need more police, people need to be more careful, lock your doors, protect your kids..... our prisons are over crowded... we have a drug epidemic...... people are poor." ...and so on... All kinds of whining and belly aching, but no one ever seems to be able to solve the problem. The answer goes back to that verse.... A thief has one purpose... steal, kill, and destroy... Jesus is the one talking in the verse above and he finishes the sentence with: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly....Wow! To not only have life, but to have it more abundantly.... The thief takes, hoping to gain somethin' but seems to always have a need to steal again and again.... and actually winds up in trouble ........with a life in shambles......and even sometimes losing his on physical life in the process.... You know.... there is actually more to life than just breathin'? Yelp!!!!!
I have seen people on ventilators, they are breathing, they are alive, but they aint living. Jesus told the woman at the well: John 4:13 - Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
It is ironic that folks worry about high crime rates, neighborhoods unsafe to live in, but it never seems to get fixed....But........ you just put a copy of the 10 commandments on the lawn of a school or on the wall of a courthouse....or a cross on a water tower.. and man what an uproar? That suddenly becomes a bigger problem... you know?
To have something posted saying: Thou shalt not steal or covet somebody else's stuff, or thou shalt not kill somebody.... folks will get to work to get that stuff out of there.... And yet the crime problem keeps on growing... and more cops will not help... more money spent will not help.... So what is so different now from days gone by?
Today folks reject God's Word, they reject righteous living, they reject the church, the family is being destroyed, and our children are growing up without guidance, direction, and most of all hope! We covet and we take what somebody else has, because we feel we deserve it, cause it aint fair for you to have something if I don't! Folks are miserable in this world and they have no joy, no peace, and they want to steal yours...When the answer is just as plain as day.... John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me......
If we want things to change for the better:
Then try Jesus!
What do we have to lose?
Nothing else is working.....
And that my freind is my bottom line...
God Bless You

I have to say we had us a great Father's Day.... The services at FBC Louise were great and we enjoyed the surprise visitors too! We missed several folks Sunday.. praying they are able to make it back soon!
We spent the rest of the day visitin' with Family... Sissy Kaye and Bubba-n-law are down from Kentucky with their youngins...Bubba Jimmy and Sissy-in-law Kris and their youngins all came over to Dad's house ( Uncle Doo-dah ) ... it was good to see everyone!
Later that evening we went over to Benton, Mississippi and visited with the inlaws... had a great time over there. Randy cooked some burgers and we sit outside on buckets and had a feast andof course, jabbed our jaws some... 'bout got this county's problems all figured out!
Then we came home... and let the frogs sing us to sleep...
I have heard it said that Frog is an acronym for Fully Relying On God....
I like that!
God has truly blessed me and my family.... Lest some forget, He has truly blessed our nation for over 200 years... We aint been perfect all that time, but God has still been there for us!
Don't let no.....body else convince you other wise!
God is the Loving Father who Sacrificed his only begotten son for our sins...That son is Jesus..... and by trusting in Him, I got it made cuz!
